Model Test with Jess (GFX100RF + Ricoh GW-4 Wide Converter, GFX100 II + 55mm F/1.7, Mamiya Auto Sekor 200mm F/3.5)
Styled & shot. Raws processed in LR Classic, Fuji's Classic Neg color profile as a base. Lighting was 1x Zhiyun C100 as a main light, 1x Zhiyun X100RGB as background, rim, and main light (bounced off acrylic mirror), 1x Neewer GC30C for main + background light. Some lighting setup BTS images at the end of the gallery.
As far as any technical notes, I'm continuing to employ combination hard + soft light from the same direction in a few of these - something I've been a very big fan of the past few months. I also took a $40 Mamiya Sekor 200mm F/3.5 out for a field test after picking it up curiously on Adorama (and a cheap m42 to Fuji G mount converter). If you have the light to expose for F/3.5 and a HIGH shutter speed to offset the handheld shake and narrow FOV, it seems to be a great performer. I think the real test will be trying it on the X-H2 (which interestingly enough has a higher pixel pitch than the 102mp GFX ) though I'm trying to think through something I'd like to shoot at a 300mm FOV equiv.
First shoot with my GFX gear after being away for a couple months with only a X-S20. While I wouldn't say I couldn't have gotten the job done with an X-S20, it does feel nice be working with GFX files again.
