Perseids and Star Trails in the Austrian Alps
Spent a night in the Austrian Alps trying astrophotography with my X-M5 and ended up with these two shots.
The first is a star trails composite made from 546 individual exposures taken throughout the night.
The second is a Perseid composite, combining the meteors I managed to capture during the session while using one exposure as the base image.
Gear:
Fujifilm X-M5
Viltrox 25mm f/1.7
Sirui carbon travel tripod
Software:
Siril for stacking and processing the exposures
Affinity for the final edits, masking and compositing
Most of the shots were taken at around 10s, f/1.7 and ISO 3200.
This was my first proper attempt at both star trails and photographing a meteor shower. Processing 546 frames was definitely a learning experience, but I'm pretty happy with how they turned out!
Would love to hear any feedback on the shots or the processing.
