Can you get desaturated highlights SooC?
Fuji X-T10 with Industar-61 @ f11
First picture was run through a "Kodak Gold" filter in Snapseed.
Second picture is SooC with my best attempt at a Kodak Gold recipe.
I think the thing that's really missing for me are the desaturated highlights. I think the luminance curve is quite alright, but the skies are way too punchy. And afaik, there's no way to just reduce the saturation on the highlights and shadows; or conversely, to raise the saturation only on the midtones.
I think this is the one thing that really prevents Jpegs from actually feeling a bit more like film. I know, I know, it's two very different processes and digital images will never look exactly like film. I also don't even care if they look like any specific film stock. I just really miss the saturation roll-off that film has.
Anyone have any better recipes for the XTrans II sensors to deal with the highlight saturation?
