Here's what happened to my X-Pro3
On my trip to Nigeria, the external screen on my Xpro3 glitched out. A couple months later, on my trip to Japan, the LCD screen gave up the ghost. At the time, I read online that that the official repair service for it cost quite a bit. So I got sad and just let the camera sit for more than a year.
Finally, I realized I couldn't let it stand. I wrote to Fujifilm repair to get the details. To my surprise, they said the repair would be covered. So I sent the camera to their repair center in new jersey.
They lost my camera.
Perhaps it's more fair to say that there was a mix up in the mailroom. Either way, no one knew where my camera was for almost a month. I sent a bunch of eager emails that I'm not proud of. Finally, they found the camera. A couple weeks later, it arrived in my mailbox. Good as new.
I don't know how I lived without this camera. I bought it new in 2020 and it's my favorite thing that I've ever shot with.
