Ivrea Carnival, trying some SOOC with the X-T5
This was my first time at Ivrea Carnival and the first time using the XF70-300. (A few pics are with the 16-50mm)
If you are intersted in the carnival's lore I add the description to a few pics:
**pic2)** Procession of the *Mugnaia*, symbol of the carnival. According to legend, she represents the young bride who rebelled against the *ius primae noctis* imposed by the local tyrant, beheading him in his sleep and sparking a popular uprising. The Historic Carnival of Ivrea follows a long and complex ceremonial structure that brings together references to historical popular struggles against oppression, from the peasant revolts of the 14th century to the Risorgimento uprisings.
**other pics)** There are about fifty chariots in total, and they represent noble factions which are targeted by the peasant footmen.
**pic3)** The deep bond between Ivrea and horses lies in its ancient Latin name, *Eporedia*, which in the Gallic language referred to skilled horse tamers. During the Augustan age, it developed into a major horse market, and the care for these animals is a tradition that is still alive today.
**9-12)** Team of the *Arancieri Diavoli*, winners of 2026. There are 9 teams competing in total.
