First Impressions after few days with the X-E5 in Paris
Quick feedback after a few days with the Fuji X-E5 and the new 23mm f/2.8 wr pancake. The combo is ultra-compact, and the 23mm pancake surprised me with its sharpness. I thought I'll come back to my 35mm 1.4 fast, but kept the 23mm mounted since then. I think this is not something new or surprising, but the image quality is excellent with that 40MP sensor. On the downside, I've notived that the startup (and opening the image viewer, "play" button) is slower than the X-T30 II. Also, it looks like the battery drains fast, and the focus mode switch is too sensitive (I prefer the rounded switch). The real concern remains that fragile strap eyelet issue Fuji acknowledged, it made me a bit nervous a the beggining, but haven't had any issue, until now. Despite these, I absolutly love this body, and the combo. I used to have an X-E1 also, so I'm happy to come back to this line. I find it gorgeous in black. I share some images here, of the camera and some prints from these two days in Paris museums. All images are SOOC, using Cinematic Gold recipe with the X-E5 and the 23mm 2.8 wr. Except the ones featuring the camera, taken with the X-T30ii.
