Mildly editing JPEG brings out artifacts?
I recently been using a fuji camera and Today yrs old learned that pushing the ooc jpegs a little bit brings out these awful chequered and concentric circle patterns on the image.
I wanted to tweak my jpegs that came out of my recipe using some slight exposure and shadows adjustment. I used Lightroom to some batch adjustments since the recipe needs a bit more lifting of the shadows.
QUESTION:
Is this an artifact of a film sim+in camera tweaks or an artifact of the xtrans sensor?
I RARELY edit Jpegs in lightroom, 99.99% I use RAW (Sony RAWS) but if i do, i don’t get these artifacts until now from fuji jpegs.
P.S. Don’t tell me that i should “shoot raw instead”. I ACTUALLY DO WHEN I WANT TO develop my images (with my full-frame sonys and not with a crop sensor).
