My first camera, the x100vi. Couldn't be happier!
I'm a complete photography noob. And so with a family wedding coming up and a growing interest in photography, I decided to get the x100vi. My main reason was the film simulations and not needing to go into Lightroom etc. to edit my photos because that's too tedious for me.
It took about a day of learning and setting things up and I've been getting some amazing shots with ease (well, amazing for someone like me), it's FAR cleaner than my iPhone and I just love the vibe that the camera can create. The image attached is a film sim I got from some guy online and thought it looked really nice in my room, some sort of backrooms vibe. Literally just took the camera out, lazily snapped a picture and it looked quite cool.
BUT tbh I have no experience with other cameras other than an old Sony point and shoot (2008 ish) I have from my dad and phone photos, so I wouldn't know if the camera is special
Curious on what you all think about the camera, any downsides or tips I should know?
Speaking about downsides, AF has been pretty weird in video for me. It takes a bit for the camera to AF onto my hand when I bring it up, or even just switching scenes, don't know how that could be made a bit snappier/faster.
