Finally joining the Fuji community – first weekend with the X-M5
Hi everyone!
I’ve been quietly following this subreddit for a while and finally decided to introduce myself.
Last Saturday my **Fujifilm X-M5** arrived, which is my first (well… technically second, since I had a small Fuji compact camera when I was a kid) camera from the brand. I chose it because I was looking for something **small and lightweight that I could carry everywhere without thinking too much about it**.
Professionally I work as a **full-time photographer specialized in events**, and my main system is **Sony**, which I use for all my paid work. The Fuji is more of a **personal / everyday camera** that I can take with me during my free time.
I’m still exploring the whole **film simulation recipes** side of Fujifilm. To be honest I’m not totally convinced yet, mainly because I’m very used to working with **RAW files and having full control over the final look in editing**. But honestly, the size and portability were my main reasons for getting the camera, and for that it’s already doing exactly what I wanted.
Right now I’m using it with the **15–45 kit lens** and a **Peak Design hand strap**, but soon I’ll also be trying the **Viltrox 28mm f/4.5** and the **TTArtisan 27mm**, since I often test gear for different brands.
I’ll leave here a few of the **first photos I took this weekend with the camera**.
Happy to finally be part of the community!
