New Film Simulation
So I've been shooting Fujifilm for about 10 years now and I'm by no means a professional, I just do it as a hobby. Whenever I make a film simulation I typically keep it to myself and I don't really share it since it's what works for me. But this time it's different. A friend and I have been working to try to get this as good as we can get it. I present to you: "True HNCS". I had the privilege to work with a Hasselblad H2D II (Not mine, but a friend's), and we had the bright idea of "why don't we make a film simulation for Fujifilm since we have both cameras side by side." over 150 shots, and about 3 days of going back and forth in different lighting conditions, tweaking highlights and shadows, messing with white balance color shift, ECT, This is what we came up with. it's the closest we were able to get to the Hasselblad natural color solution, without the Medium Format 3D pop. If you're a fan of intense blues, natural skin tones, and good micro contrast, give this one a shot 😎. (Photos taken on a X-E5 with a Voigtlander 18mm F2.8 and a 1/8 Black Mist Diffusion Filter.)
