48 Hours in Alishan National Forest, Taiwan
We hiked the Mianyue Trail in Alishan National Forest, Taiwan. Its was originally a japanese logging railway that got destroyed by a landslide and earthquake in the 90s. Whats left are train tracks, crumbling & collapsed tunnels and bridges. The forest is stunning with big cypress trees, lots of morning fog and trains to move you about the park.
In one of the collapsed tunnels you have to crawl over a pile of rubble to get through. Another one has some ferrata-esque climbing to bridge 2 sections whose connection crumbled; nothing left but rebar (last pic)
