Any recipes out there that nail that blue hour look?
Hey everyone! I've been trying to mix up the custom recipes I use and I've noticed most of the popular ones tend to pull warm, lots of amber, golden tones, that kind of thing. Which I love, but I'm looking for something different.
I want a recipe that really leans into cool, deep blues, something that captures that blue hour look and feeling without having to actually shoot at that time of day. Not muted or desaturated, quite the opposite actually. Think rich, vivid blues in the sky and shadows, while warm light sources like street lights or signs still pop with contrast.
Attaching a photo I took during a trip to Japan as a reference for the vibe I'm going for.
Have any of you built or come across something like this? Would love to know the film sim you started from and any key tweaks: white balance shift, color chrome, highlight/shadow tone, etc. Any leads appreciated!
