Got a bargain for the original x100!
I picked up an old Fuji X100 for $20 from a guy I met at a local photography club. He said it was collecting dust and haven't been used in years. He offered it to me as he would like it to go to someone who will use it.
Background: I went all in with film back in the pandemic. Sold practically all my digital gear and got a 1957 Nikon SP, Leica M5/6, a Nikon F, a Mamiya RB67, a Fuji GSW690iii, and some other smaller film cameras.
I've since had 2 kids and needed a "snapshot camera" that didn't cost $2 per shot 😅 I also wanted one with a great jpeg output. I don't want to heavily edit snapshots of the kids.
The X100 I got was a bit rough, but works perfectly (I'm not gonna ng to complain about it because of the price)! It doesn't have the classic chrome film sim for that Portra look, but Astia seems to work fine.
I've shot Provia and Velvia films before and looking forward to playing with those Sims.
Anyhow, I'm happy to be here and lurk at some of your amazing works! I'm learning the old x100 - any tips would be appreciated!
As a snapshot camera, it's already been put to good use! included some snaps of the kiddos.
