Soviet era lens testing, Industar/индустар 50 and Jupiter/Юпитер 8
Not really a post about a Fuji body, but shot on my Xpro1 with an L39 adapter.
For ages I've had this par of Soviet era lenses kicking around my gear bag, a damaged индустар 50 that came with a poor condition Zorki 5 body, and a really clean Юпитер 8 that came with my Zorki 4.
Since I'm home with the flu I thought I would go into the garden and take some photos with them in between coughing fits.
Both were taken with same settings, the ceramic chimes at wide open (f3.5 for the Industar, F2 for the Jupiter), the basil plants at F5.6, and the Yukka just stopped down enough to not overexpose.
It's shocking just how much difference there is between these 2 lenses.
The softness of the industar is interesting, so I'm sure I'll find a use for it some day.
