First day with my new Fuji X-E 5 + Pentax A 50mm 1.7

I just want to share my first photos. I have the 23mm f/2.8 but also an old 50mm from Pentax. This is the first time I've taken so many photos using manual focus.
I use focus peaking red or blue, but it’s not easy (despite f/5.8 or f/8). Especially since I get the impression that the “AF check” (with digital zoom) doesn’t work on older lenses (unlike the 23mm kit lens). Is there a way to make it work ?
Any tips to improve my level of manuel focus ?
