I wanted my mobile shots to look like magazine covers, so I built an app to automate this "National Geographic" aesthetic (and more).
Hey everyone,
Like many of you here, I’ve always been drawn to the classic, bold aesthetic of iconic photography magazines. There’s something about that signature yellow frame or a clean, structured gallery border that instantly makes a photo feel like a finished piece of art.
I got tired of jumping between multiple apps just to add a decent border and manually type in my EXIF data. As an iOS developer and photography enthusiast, I spent the last few months building **Stamio** to bridge that gap.
I just pushed an update with this new **"Magazine" template** and I’m really stoked about how it turned out.
**Key features I focused on:**
* **Automatic EXIF Integration:** It instantly pulls your camera model, lens, aperture, and shutter speed from the metadata. It handles everything from Leica to Fuji beautifully.
* **Professional Layouts:** I’ve moved beyond simple white squares to design templates that mimic high-end magazines and physical art galleries.
* **Dynamic Backgrounds:** As seen in the sample, the app can generate a blurred gradient background based on the colors of your photo to make the frame really pop.
* **Custom Branding:** You can add your own "Design by" signature or personal logo to keep your branding consistent.
I’m an independent developer, and I built this specifically for people who want a faster, more aesthetic way to share their work without sacrificing that "professional" feel.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on the new layout! If you have suggestions for other magazine styles or specific camera-brand borders you'd like to see, let me know in the comments. I'm actively adding new templates based on what you guys need.
Cheers!
