Classic Istanbul Neg - my first Fujifilm JPEG recipe look
Hi everyone,
I have been testing a Fujifilm film simulation recipe I made for everyday street photography and wanted to share a few sample frames with the community.
The recipe is called Classic Istanbul Neg.
It is built around Classic Negative and came from the kind of light I often notice in Istanbul: soft blue-grey skies, warm street details, old stone textures, crowds, ferries, birds, and small everyday moments that pass quickly.
I did not want it to feel tied to one city, though. The idea was to make a flexible JPEG recipe with some of that Istanbul mood, but still something that could work in other streets, weather, people, and light.
The look I was aiming for is warm without becoming too vintage, colorful without feeling too digital, with natural blues, soft highlights, and a documentary feel for everyday scenes.
A small exposure note: in many everyday situations, +1/3 EV exposure compensation can be a useful starting point, especially in cloudy light, shaded streets, or scenes that feel a little too dark. Adjust depending on the light.
Shot on Fujifilm X100VI with the fixed 23mm lens.
I would love honest feedback from Fujifilm JPEG shooters, especially on how this color/contrast balance feels and whether you think it would translate well outside Istanbul.
For the full recipe settings and more sample photos, I shared them in my latest Instagram post under sefafilms.
