Backpacking Trip/Astrophotography - Joshua Tree CRHT
I took my X-T3, XF 16/1.4 and XF 27/2.8 mk.II to hike the Joshua Tree California Riding and Hiking Trail this past weekend. Hiked 38.5 miles in 3 days. We had moonless nights and wind to push most of the clouds away at night. The night shots were single exposures done at 1.4, ISO 1600 and 8-20 seconds of exposure time and manual focus.
I edited the night shots in Capture One. This was my first time doing astrophotography so editing workflow was pretty rough since I had really no idea what to do with them in C1. Since its January, the Milky Way was pretty non-existent as it was below the horizon (as was the moon).
I brought a Manfrotto Pixi tripod and added a ball head. Total weight was about 3.5lbs for camera, lens, tripod.
