Anyone swapped XF 10-24 for Sigma 10-18?
I recently took all my lenses on a road trip. I realized on this trip that changing lenses is a PITA while on the move and much as I love my primes (23mm f1.4, 35 mm f2, 56mm f1.4), I ended up using the 10-24 and 18-55 the most (mostly the latter). I didn't use the 56mm at all. I also have the XF 55-200 but rarely took it with me on hikes. On my return, I purchased the 18-135 to cover my zoom bases, sold the 35 f2 because although it was a convenient size, I didn't love taking pictures with it, and am considering swapping out the 10-24 for the Sigma 10-18 for future travel. I have a Norway trip coming up and I think the 18-135 and 10-24 (or Sigma 10-18) will cover all my bases.
The main reason I am considering switching is the size of the Sigma. I have the old 10-24 and it's kind of large for travel. Has anyone made this switch and if so, what were your reasons and experience?
Attaching a few of my favorite pics taken with the 10-24. I was surprised how few of my landscape pics were taken with this, and now I'm wondering if I need something wide at all, although when you do need the wide, it sure is nice to have. Would love to hear about others' experiences.
