Testing vintage glass - X-T5 + 2 Vintage Nikon 28 mms
Have been wanting to play with a manual lens and had a few old nikon lenses lying around. Oddly, I have 2 different 28 mms.
Image 1 - (vertical) - nikon series e 28mm f/2.8
Image 2 - (horizontal) - nikkor h-c 28 nn f/3.5 (used a flash for this one)
Both images straight out of camera.
Doing some googling, seems neither of these lenses are regarded particularly highly by modern day shooters, but I'm quite pleasantly surprised by the general sharpness, especially the f2.8. I think maybe some of the criticism of the lenses having soft corners is avoided by the crop sensor (though I may be misunderstanding that). Either way, Can't wait to get out and shoot some more.
Is anyone else using vintage glass with their fuji? Would love your recommendations.
